Wow! God is awesome! "...ask and you shall receive." I guess I found the right way or came to my own senses about a situation that has accurred in the life and ministry of my family and church. My pastor right out lied to me. I felt I had to leave the church, so we did. Because this is not health for anyone, and being the leader of my own families faith and motivaton it was an absolute decision. Although I feel for this pastor and his flock. I don't know that I could express my concerns of what I have seen and experienced, but I do see that God is showing me something here.

Thanks, Kelli. I actually tried to preach along this topic yesterday. But for the record, the revelation of Christ leading us into our destiny as we worship came to us corporately during our weekly home group meeting last week. I really don't know who among us caught that glimpse first. But we ALL know it was the Holy Spirit encouraging us to keep on worshiping Jesus. Because that's when the sheep can sense the Good Shepherd's voice!

Feel free to take any of my thoughts, add your own to them, and preach it without need to give any credit our way. May God be praised and all the world keep silent.

Another good blog and very appropos truth! Too many people hang their hats of faith on things that are not "absolutes" and when they either don't come to pass, or they do in a way that wasn't what they wanted, their faith wavers. All we have is the Word of God and the character of God in which to cling. He is always faithful and His Word never lies. I'm thankful I serve such a God - and I'm thankful for the voices in the wilderness (such as yours) that speaks truth in such turbulent times.

Keep preaching truth; it's the only thing that will set the captives free.

I wanted to tell you that I appreciate the Spirit in which you responded to Brent. You are a Godly man, who is exhibiting the fruits of the Spirit...and I appreciate that.

I too respect David Wilkerson, and perhaps his prophecies will come to pass. I hope, like you, that God does not send judgment to the US, but He might. He is God and He can do what He will. As you say in your post...we do deserve judgment.

That said, it would behoove all who read this to stop watching for signs and wonders...and instead make sure they have their eyes fixed and focused on Christ. That way, if a bomb wipes us off the face of the earth (or an earthquake...or a meteor, etc) we'll be ready to go.

I'm wondering if those who believe Wilkerson's prophecy are tirelessly working around the clock to win the lost to Christ. If I were so sure I knew the day and time the judgment of America was coming...I'd be knocking on doors and dragging all my family and friends to the altar - wouldn't you?

We have witnessed in our own family the POWER of PRAYER. What a wonderful subject. Wouldn't it be interesting to have each person in HG give just one example how the Power of Prayer has changed either their life or someone they know?
